Què és el Disc Golf? ----------- What is Disc golf?

Disc golf és un esport que es practica a l'aire lliure i que és bastant famós des de fa un parell d’anys aquí a Finlàndia. Em van convidar a jugar, així que no vaig poder dir que no :)

El joc bàsicament consisteix, tal i com indicar el seu nom, jugar a golf amb un disc. Sembla fàcil però té la seva dificultat. Per jugar necessites anar a una zona habilitada on hi ha diferents cistelles/forats, per exemple on vaig a jugar habitualment n'hi ha 18. En cada pista hi ha un lloc d’inici per realitzar el primer llançament i al costat hi ha un cartell informatiu que t'explica amb un dibuix on es troba la cistella, a quina distància està del punt d’inici i quin són els llançaments òptims que hauries de fer, com menys millor (normalment són entre 3 i 4... de moment el meu record és de 11… ). 

1. Zona del primer llançament

Comences tirant el disc des del lloc d’inici i al lloc on ha anat a parar és el següent lloc de llaçament, i així succesiament fins arribar a la cistella. Abans de cada llançament has de valorar a on vols que vagi el disc, quin disc utilitzaràs ( més o menys pes, més gruixut o menys...), cap a on bufa el vent, quina tècnica de llançament faràs, si hi ha arbres pel mig quin és el millor camí…

2. Llançament

Hi ha pistes que són més fàcils que d'altres ja que per exemple una cistella pot ser entre mig d'arbres o que per arribar a la cistella hagis de passar un petit rierol i si el disc va a dins sumes punts extres... Per tant en cada pista has de comptar el nombre de llançaments i anotar-ho. En el lloc on vaig normalment has de sumar 60 punts si ho fas segons els panells informatius, però jo sempre doblo els punts… em falta pràctica.  

3. Cistella

Aquest esport és una bona manera de compartir una estona amb amics, gaudir del temps a l’aire lliure i envoltat de natura. Actualment és més un esport d’homes que de dones, pèro fa poquet vaig assitir a un campionat només per dones. Em vaig marcar dos objectius, un no quedar última i l'altre no superar els 100 punts. Si voleu saber si els vaig aconseguir només heu de mirar el resultat de la classificació!

Disc golf is a sport that you have to practice outside and nowadays it is quite famous in Finland. One of my friends invited me to play, so let’s go to play :)

This game consists that you have to throw the disc and this one has to go in the basket. Looks easy but if you want play well it is quite difficult. For to play it you need to go in specific area where there are different baskets/holes. For example where I usually go to play there are 18 baskets. Every basket it is a different place. Next to each place there is an informative panel that you can see where the basket is with a drawing, how many meters the hole is far away and how many throws you should be do on. Usually the throws are 3 or 4… but at the moment my record is 11.. so, I know I have to improve.

After the first throw you have to go where the disc gets and you have to throw the disc in this place, and you have to repeat that until you put the disk in the basket. Before each throw you have to value where you would like that the disc will go, choose the best disc for this throw depends on the distance or the windy….  Each throw is one point. After each place you have to write how many throws you got it. Usually the place where I go to play, I should get 60 points, but I get more than 100 point... I need more practice.

3. Basket/hole

It is a good way to spend a good time with yours friends and enjoy in the nature. Nowadays this sport who practice it most of them are men, but couple weeks ago I went to the competition called Lady Tour, so it means only for women. Step by step there are more women who want to play it.  Before to start the competition I proposed myself two targets, one of them I didn’t want to get the last position and I wanted to get less than 100 point. Com es mou la gent gran pel poble? - How do old people move around the town?

Em sorprèn positivament l’autonomia de la gent gran i surten al carrer faci fred o calor. Gran part ho fan amb un caminador-patinet. Aquí teniu un vídeo que vaig tenir l'oportunitat de gravar un dia. M’encanten! :) 

I'm really surprised about the autonomy of old people. They go outside when it is cold or hot, it doesn't matter. Most of them use the walker-scooter. Here a video. I like them so much :) 

Un casament finès ---- A finnish wedding!

He tingut la gran sort d’assistir a un casament finès. La celebració començava a l’església i no va durar més de 20 minuts, així que les paraules les justes per conciliar matrimoni. A la sortida de l'esglèsia tots els convidats estàvem preparats per rebre els nuvis amb unes ampolletes per fer bombolles de sabó.

La festa continuava a un sala de festes on normalment els familiars són els encarregats de la decoració. En general la luxúria no és habitual, sinó que tot és senzill, familiar, proper, modest i es valora que els nuvis i familiars es facin les coses (invitació de casament, minutes...). És habitual que els vestits dels nuvis siguin llogats.  

Com a tot casament cal organitzar la gent perquè no sigui un desgavell, però no vam tenir un lloc assignat, sinó només la taula. Seguidament, em va semblar curiós, a la taula hi havia una minuta amb un horari on es podia veure l’ordre que seguiria la festa, amb hora d’inici i fi.

Va arribar l’hora de l’àpat, buffet lliure, tu mateix t’agafaves el què volies. Hi havia amanida de gambes i formatge; pastís de salmó; saltejat de verdures; arròs amb verdures; pastanaga; patata i vedella. Un plant únic i combinat. 

Un moment en què tothom es va aixecar de la taula va ser per observar com els nuvis, units, tallaven el pastís. Seguidament, ells es van servir el seu trosset de pastís i darrera d’ells els convidats s’agafaven ells mateixos el tros que volien. El pastís anava acompanyat de cafè i té que també t’ho servies tu mateix.

Durant la celebració també hi va haver moments de fer proves i jocs als nuvis i dels parlaments d’amics i familiars, això no falla.

Després els nuvis van inaugurar la zona de ball amb un vals, la festa va seguir fins a l’horari establert.

I had really good luck to go to Finnish wedding. The celebration started in the church and it took no more than 20 minutes. When the celebration ended everyone went out waiting the married couple. Everyone had small bottles for do soap bubble waiting that married couple left from the church.





The wedding continued in a weddings room when the relatives were responsible for the decoration. Usually the Finnish people don’t like the luxurious which means that everything in the wedding is simple, nearby, familiar and modest. The guests appreciate that they did the stuffs himself such as wedding invitation, decoration, etc. It is quite often that married couple borrow the dresses from the second hand store.

As all wedding it is really important to know where you have to sit down, in this case, only we had to award the table not the chair. Then, I seemed curious that on the table there was a paper with the schedule. There was the beginning and ending time. 

It came time for meal, free buffet, when we could find: salad with prawn and cheese, salmon’s cake, vegetables, rice with vegetable, carrots, potatoe and calf. So we ate combination plate who everyone service their shelf. 

Then was time for a cake, important moment, when everyone stand up from your place and we went to see how the married couple cut the cake. After that, married couple serve their piece of cake. Behind them all the guest served the cake ourselves. Also you could take coffe, tea and cokkies.

Then, it was time to speeches, when everyone said beautiful memories and good wishes to married couple. 

The last thing to do was the dance. So the couple marriage danced the waltz while everyone one looked them how danced it.

Lluitant pel meu somni, ser mestra! --- Fighting for my dream, become a teacher!

El meu somni de fer de mestra a una escola finesa s’ha fet realitat. El sistema educatiu de Finlàndia és un referent mundial i és per aquest motiu que vaig apostar per viure aquesta experiència com a aupair en aquest país. Penso, que la vocació de mestra es porta a dins així que en aquest cas la tasca que estic fent és voluntària, però estic aprenent tant i em sento tan satisfeta que és suficient. Estic amb els nens i nenes de primer, és a dir, tenen 7 anys, i aquests fan les classes en anglès. En les següents entrades us aniré explicant quin tipus de metodologia utilitza la docent, com és la dinàmica de la classe, cosetes que em cridin l’atenció…

Hi ha tantes coses a explicar del sistema educatiu que us aniré explicant mica en mica com funciona a través del què he anat observant de les visites de les escoles que he anat i que aniré. Aquí és tan fàcil accedir a les escoles, els professors tenen sempre la porta oberta a tothom que hi vulgui entrar.

Us faig una petita introducció de com funciona l'educació. L'educació bàsica/obligatòria comença als 7 anys, però abans els alumnes poden anar a la guardaria. Entre la guardaria i l’escola hi ha un curs entremig, que es la preescola, on ensenyen els alumnes habilitats per començar l’escola amb èxit. Dels 7 anys fins els 16 els alumnes reben educació obligatòria, i després poden triar dues opcions, fer formació professional on els ensenyen un ofici o l’altre opció és seguir els estudis a l'escola superior on els preparen per anar a la Universitat.

Voldria acabar aquesta entrada amb una notícia d'una entrevista que el diari català El 9Nou fa a un director d'una escola de Finlàndia.  que porta com a títol: El mestre a Finlàndia és vocacional: no vull ferdiners, vull ser mestre"

My dream is becoming true: Be a teacher in a Finnish school. The educative system in Finland is a global example.  It is the reason why I chose Finland to work as an au pair. I think that the teacher profession is a vocation for this reason I’m workig as a volunteer, anyway I’m learning so much and feel satisfied, which is enough. I’m with the pupils of first grade. They are seven years old and they get the education in English. The next time I would like to tell you which kind of methods  the teacher uses and how is the dynamic class.

There are many things to explain educational system in Finland but I ‘m going to tell a little bit how this system works. I explain through my experience in my visits in schools and future visits, too. Here it is very easy  for foreign teachers to get to know the methods of the schools, so the schools have open doors for everyone.

The basic education starts when the children are seven years old. Before that the pupils can get the daycare. But between the daycare and school there is a pre-school when the children get abilities and skills for starting the school with success. The obligatory school continues until 16 years. After  this educational period they can choose two ways, either to continue the studies in the upper school which prepares them to go to University or the pupils can go to learn some profession.

I would like to refer to the interview in a Catalan’s newspaper call El 9nou. They interview a principal  in a Finnish school, the title is: The teacher in Finland is vocation: I don’t want to domoney, I want to be teacher.
