Ahir vam celebrar
"juhannus" que significa que estem al mig de l'estiu. És tradició
passar el cap de setmana abans del solstici d'estiu en un llac gran
i compartir la revetlla amb més gent, tot acompanyats d'una bona foguera,
música i uns convidats que ningú vol però que n'hi ha molts, els mosquits o
també pots anar a la casa de camp ja que gairebé cada família en té una.
Aquesta acostuma a ser petitoneta, a la vora d’algun llac i envoltada de natura
i tranquil·litat. Els finesos els agrada molt anar a la casa de camp ja que
allà hi troben silenci i poden estar tota l’estona en contacte amb la natura.
Diu la tradició que la nit de
"juhannus", les dones que estan solteres han d'anar al bosc i
agafar 7 flors diferents per posar-les sota del coixí durant tota la nit. Es
veu que aquestes flors fan que somiïs amb el teu futur home... Bé, cal dir que ho he provat però no hi ha hagut sort!!

Yesterday
we celebrated “juhannusta” that it means midsummer. In Finland is tradition
spend all weekend before summer solstice going to a big lake and share the
night with more people, a bonfire, music and guests that nobody want but there
are a lot. They are the mosquitoes. The other option is to go in the summer
cottage which it is a small cottage in the middle of the forest and near it
there is a lake. Finnish people like so much to go there because they find the
peace and the contact with the nature.
Popular
tradition says that the night of midsummer the women who are singles have to go
to the forest and pick up seven kinds of flowers. After that they have to put
them under the pillow they use for sleep. These flowers make to you dream with
your future man… I tried, but it didn't work because there wasn't any man in my dream.
I ended my
day with this awesome sunset yesterday. The life gives you magic moments. :)
