Un casament finès ---- A finnish wedding!

He tingut la gran sort d’assistir a un casament finès. La celebració començava a l’església i no va durar més de 20 minuts, així que les paraules les justes per conciliar matrimoni. A la sortida de l'esglèsia tots els convidats estàvem preparats per rebre els nuvis amb unes ampolletes per fer bombolles de sabó.

La festa continuava a un sala de festes on normalment els familiars són els encarregats de la decoració. En general la luxúria no és habitual, sinó que tot és senzill, familiar, proper, modest i es valora que els nuvis i familiars es facin les coses (invitació de casament, minutes...). És habitual que els vestits dels nuvis siguin llogats.  

Com a tot casament cal organitzar la gent perquè no sigui un desgavell, però no vam tenir un lloc assignat, sinó només la taula. Seguidament, em va semblar curiós, a la taula hi havia una minuta amb un horari on es podia veure l’ordre que seguiria la festa, amb hora d’inici i fi.

Va arribar l’hora de l’àpat, buffet lliure, tu mateix t’agafaves el què volies. Hi havia amanida de gambes i formatge; pastís de salmó; saltejat de verdures; arròs amb verdures; pastanaga; patata i vedella. Un plant únic i combinat. 

Un moment en què tothom es va aixecar de la taula va ser per observar com els nuvis, units, tallaven el pastís. Seguidament, ells es van servir el seu trosset de pastís i darrera d’ells els convidats s’agafaven ells mateixos el tros que volien. El pastís anava acompanyat de cafè i té que també t’ho servies tu mateix.

Durant la celebració també hi va haver moments de fer proves i jocs als nuvis i dels parlaments d’amics i familiars, això no falla.

Després els nuvis van inaugurar la zona de ball amb un vals, la festa va seguir fins a l’horari establert.

I had really good luck to go to Finnish wedding. The celebration started in the church and it took no more than 20 minutes. When the celebration ended everyone went out waiting the married couple. Everyone had small bottles for do soap bubble waiting that married couple left from the church.





The wedding continued in a weddings room when the relatives were responsible for the decoration. Usually the Finnish people don’t like the luxurious which means that everything in the wedding is simple, nearby, familiar and modest. The guests appreciate that they did the stuffs himself such as wedding invitation, decoration, etc. It is quite often that married couple borrow the dresses from the second hand store.

As all wedding it is really important to know where you have to sit down, in this case, only we had to award the table not the chair. Then, I seemed curious that on the table there was a paper with the schedule. There was the beginning and ending time. 

It came time for meal, free buffet, when we could find: salad with prawn and cheese, salmon’s cake, vegetables, rice with vegetable, carrots, potatoe and calf. So we ate combination plate who everyone service their shelf. 

Then was time for a cake, important moment, when everyone stand up from your place and we went to see how the married couple cut the cake. After that, married couple serve their piece of cake. Behind them all the guest served the cake ourselves. Also you could take coffe, tea and cokkies.

Then, it was time to speeches, when everyone said beautiful memories and good wishes to married couple. 

The last thing to do was the dance. So the couple marriage danced the waltz while everyone one looked them how danced it.
